Royal Enfield Scram 450: A New Chapter in Adventure Motorcycling (Launch Expected in 2027)

Introduction

The iconic Royal Enfield is gearing up to expand its 450cc lineup with an exciting new addition — the Scram 450. Expected to launch in early 2027, this upcoming motorcycle aims to bridge the gap between the rugged Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and the urban-focused Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450.

With a perfect blend of scrambler styling, off-road capability, and everyday usability, the Scram 450 is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated bikes in India’s mid-capacity segment.

Platform & Engine: Proven Yet Refined

The Scram 450 will be built on Royal Enfield’s Sherpa 450 platform, the same architecture that powers the Himalayan 450 and Guerrilla 450.

  • Engine: 452cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled
  • Power Output: ~40 hp and 40 Nm torque
  • Gearbox: 6-speed transmission

While it shares the same engine, Royal Enfield is expected to retune the performance and gearing to match its scrambler personality—offering a balance between city riding and light off-roading.

The Scram 450 is expected to feature a distinct and aggressive scrambler design, clearly separating it from its siblings.

Key Design Highlights:

  • 19-inch front wheel & 17-inch rear wheel
  • Upswept exhaust for better off-road clearance
  • Tall front beak + conventional mudguard
  • Single-piece scooped seat
  • Side number boards (retro scrambler vibe)
